In September 2016, 25 new students commenced their four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Midwifery, at the Hamlin College of Midwives. Each student is provided a full scholarship, which is completely funded by generous donors to Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.
Donors like IMC – one of the world’s leading proprietary trading firms.
IMC believes that businesses have a responsibility to contribute towards a better society and as such, donate a share of their profits to charities they believe will be able to meet this goal.
Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is proud to be recognised by IMC as just such an organisation, with IMC committed to funding 20 student scholarships from the class of 2020, over the next four years.
Without this funding, we wouldn’t be able to continue to grow our network of midwives in rural areas, and continue to reduce the number of new fistula cases to zero. However, with the next group of students due to commence their studies in September this year, scholarship funding remains as critical as ever.
Thank you IMC!
