This year I am supporting Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation’s Raise2Restore Giving Day on Thursday 29 August and I hope you can help, too.

On Hamlin’s Giving Day, all donations will be DOUBLED – for 12 hours only (8am to 8pm AEST).

Every woman should be able to deliver her baby safely and without harm. Yet in rural Ethiopia, health centres often lack even the most essential supplies and medical equipment.

Every dollar I raise on Hamlin’s Giving Day will help equip and upgrade three rural health clinics, providing essential medical equipment and supplies to ensure safe deliveries, prevent horrific birth injuries and empower local communities.

Australian obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr Catherine Hamlin, devoted her life to helping Ethiopian women living with obstetric fistula, giving them love, hope and the opportunity to regain their lives.

I am so proud to be one of many Australians working towards making Catherine’s vision of a fistula free Ethiopia a reality.
