A High Tea for Hamlin

We love sharing the stories of our community fundraisers and what inspired them to get involved and raise vital funds and awareness for the work of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.

Jane, a committed Hamlin supporter, recently hosted a High Tea for Hamlin in her local community to help restore the lives and dignity of women suffering with obstetric fistula in Ethiopia.

Around 80 guests enjoyed a delicious spread of home-made sweets and savouries, tea and coffee while Jane spread the Hamlin story. The Hamlin Shop was also in attendance at Jane’s High Tea, selling beautiful ethical products handmade by fair trade artisans from Africa.

“We had a wonderful High Tea, generously supported by many. Catherine and Reg made such an impression on me after reading The Hospital by the River 20 years ago. We are looking forward to repeating this event after such a wonderful response.” – Jane

Restoring Ethiopian women’s lives – one cuppa at a time!

Hosting a High Tea for Hamlin is fun and rewarding. It’s a great opportunity to gather your friends, family and wider community to share a relaxing and inspiring afternoon of delectable treats and tipples while supporting some of the world’s most vulnerable women.

Jane’s High Tea for Hamlin raised vital funds for Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation, which will help women with fistula to regain their lives after the trauma of obstetric fistula.

“We had a wonderful High Tea, generously supported by many. We are looking forward to repeating this event after such a wonderful response from many.” – Jane
