
Internships
Our internships are typically full-time and unpaid for one calendar month at our office in Pyrmont, Sydney. Internship hours are Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm.
Our intern program gives a behind the scenes, hands-on experience of what it is like to raise funds and awareness for the life-changing work of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.
Interns work closely with the whole team including our volunteers. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in donor relations, fundraising campaigns, communications, retail, events management and more.
This role attracts candidates from all backgrounds, including:

Volunteers
Our volunteers are incredible people who give their time to help out in our Pyrmont fundraising office and shop. Volunteers help with a variety of tasks including customer service, data entry, shipping, event support and administration. Our volunteer community is diverse and passionate. Each volunteer plays a key role in helping to fulfil Dr Catherine Hamlin‘s vision for a fistula-free future.

We look for volunteers who can give one day every week or every fortnight. Shifts are typically Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 3.30pm. Volunteers must be over 18. If you have any questions regarding volunteering please email us at [email protected] or call 02 9440 7001.

Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is not a volunteer organisation. For this to be a sustainable Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is not a volunteer organisation. For this to be a sustainable organisation it should be run by Ethiopians, for Ethiopians, supporting the local economy and employment market. Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is proud to provide employment for over 550 locals across six hospitals, the Hamlin College of Midwives and Desta Mender, our rehabilitation facility.
