Volunteering in Ethiopia?
Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is not a volunteer organisation. For this to be a sustainable organisation it should be run by Ethiopians, for Ethiopians, supporting the local economy and employment market. Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is proud to provide employment for over 550 locals across six hospitals, the Hamlin College of Midwives and Desta Mender, our rehabilitation facility.
Our internships are full-time and unpaid for one calendar month at our office in Turramurra, Sydney. Internship hours are Monday to Friday 9:30am to 5:00pm.
Our intern program gives a behind the scenes, hands-on experience of what it is like to raise funds and awareness for the life-changing work of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.
Interns work closely with the whole team including our volunteers. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in donor relations, fundraising campaigns, communications, retail, events management and more.
This role attracts candidates from all backgrounds, including:
- Midwifery, nursing, medicine
- International relations
