In addition to obstetric fistula surgery, all six Hamlin hospitals provide a range of gynaecological treatments to women, including advanced stage pelvic organ prolapse surgery.
In FY24, a record number of 4,272 surgeries* (averaging over 350 surgeries a month) were performed
at Hamlin’s fistula hospitals. This is almost 20% more surgeries performed than the previous year. The fistula closure rate was 93%.
