Short period of postoperative bladder catheterisation effective for repair of simple urinary fistula

The World Health Organisation has issued new recommendations on the length of bladder catheterisation following surgical repair of a simple obstetric urinary fistula. 

The WHO Guidelines are for health-care professionals, particularly fistula surgeons and nurses providing postoperative care to women after surgery for obstetric urinary fistula.
