Welcome to our new CEO in Ethiopia, Dr Tesfaye Yacob

We are delighted that Dr Tesfaye Yacob has been appointed as the new CEO of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia.

Dr Tesfaye replaces Martin Andrews, who has completed his three-year tenure in the role.

Martin oversaw the growth of many aspects of the Hamlin network, including the expansion of the number of rural midwifery clinics. He will be remembered for his energy, skilful leadership and unwavering commitment to the staff and patients.

We would like to use this opportunity to thank Martin for his partnership over the last three years.

Dr Tesfaye comes to his new role with over 30 years experience as a clinician, trainer, researcher, and public health manager –  both at government and non-governmental organisations.

Dr Tesfaye’s experience ranges from a director of a public hospital to a CEO of a large development program.

Dr Tesfaye graduated as a Medical Doctor (MD) in 1985 and completed a post-graduate degree in leadership and management. As part of his international experience he participated in several training and consultation activities in different parts of the world.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Tesfaye.
