Heartfelt thanks to our Hamlin Regular Givers

Thank you

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to our Regular Givers. Every month you contribute to Dr Catherine Hamlin’s fight to eradicate fistula. Forever.

You are the backbone of our organisation, helping keep the doors of Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia’s hospitals open and increasing the reach of Catherine’s work to help all Ethiopian women in need.

One of the other things your monthly gift does is give Hamlin the ability to plan ahead. An example of this is an intense surgical event earlier this year, designed to celebrate International Women’s Day in a deeply meaningful way.

On the 8th and 9th of March, 24 surgeries to repair childbirth injuries were completed at Hamlin’s Bahir Dar Fistula Hospital, half of which were fistula repairs. Leading the treatment was Dr Bitew Abebe, head of surgery at Bahir Dar Fistula Hospital and Dr Fekade Ayenachew senior surgeon at Hamlin’s Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital.

It is because of the hard work of hospital staff and the generosity of you, our regular givers, that these 24 women can start their rehabilitation journey.

From the bottom of our hearts – thank you.
