My name is Lilianna and I am 12 years old. I live in Perth, Western Australia. At school we have to choose one of the Top 100 Australian Living Treasures, and write about them. I chose you and the more I learn about you, the more wonderful I think you are.

Through this assignment I have learnt so much about your work, your past and your dreams for the future. I admire your dedication to your cause and appreciate the work you have done to help improve the lives of the women in Ethiopia. I not only admire what you have done for the women of Ethiopia, but what your studies have done for women globally. Thank you for everything you have done.

I have recently bought some earrings from your website for my mother for Christmas. I look forward to giving them to her and telling her your story. I think that the story behind the gift makes the present more valuable.

I have heard how you sit in front of the fire every night and your dog sits in front of you until you go to bed. I am a dog person myself and I wish you and your four legged friend a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New year!
